<p>Mine is morning insomnia &#8211; No problem getting to sleep but am waking up only 3-5 hours later and can&#8217;t get back to sleep. It is starting to affect my work because I can&#8217;t concentrate or handle difficult jobs and my relationships because I am getting irritable and moody.</p>

<p>yer, i have insomnia, and have for quite a while, it&#8217;s fairly common these days, in my oppinion because everybody is alot more stressed than they were years ago. everythings harder and more expensive and blablabla. life is more stressful than it was in say, the 70&#8217;s. anyway, the facts are that insomnia is getting to be quite common, for whatever reason. and there are plenty of ways to deal with it, most of which you&#8217;re probably already aware of. the real only way to overcome it, is to figure out the underlyig cause, and work from there. counting sheep or drinking warm milk aren&#8217;t exactly the best methods haha. the reason i have trouble sleeping is i just hate being alone with myself for any length of time to let my thoughts get to me. i can&#8217;t explain it really. i just rely on being distracted to keep me from really thinking about things, and in the time between lying down and actually sleeping, there&#8217;s nothing to distract me so i&#8217;m pretty much forced into thinking about things, and voila, next thing i know, a few hours have passed and i&#8217;m stressed out from thinking. so i need to work on getting over what&#8217;s stressing me out and that should fix my sleep problem. but that will take time. anyway. i hope whatever probem it is that you have, you find a way to deal with it.</p>

<p>awww sugar i know how you are feeling. i know its uncomfortable and is not gonna get any better until the baby is out of your body. i just explain it to you the way my mid wife did to me. the baby&#8217;s  and your joined is causing you to over heat and just try to keep as cool as possible. the sleeplessness i guess is due to the large belly making it very hard to find a comfortable position to sleep in and yes along with all the aches and pains of the body. sucks huh? what worked for me..i use to get up and about during the day so once i took a warm shower, put on the air conditioner( even though it was winter in nyc) and hit that bed i was knocked out.</p>

<p>I need some good advice on the best way to treat insomnia. It started out where I could sleep just fine, but all day I would absolutely terrible headaches, no matter what over-the-counter pain reliever I took. Then, the headaches got worse and over the last 2 weeks I get about 1-2 hours of sleep tops. I seriously could stay awake for way over 24 hours no problem, but I don&#8217;t want to! I hate this!</p>
<p>Can someone tell me how to treat it, or what treatments might be available? Thanks in advance! (the person who can give me some good detailed info on what to do will get best answer!) lol<br />
Oh, I guess I did forget to mention a few things. I&#8217;m 19, don&#8217;t eat very much anymore (mot by choice! I love food!) I&#8217;m not on any medication at the moment except for advil for my headaches, which my Dr. gave me 2 weeks ago.</p>

Hide Your Alaram Clock From View When Your In Your Bed Trying To Sleep, So That Way You Are Not Constantly Thinking Of What Time It Is. Read A Good Book Before You Sleep, It Will Make Your Mind Tired And While Help You Sleep Easily When Youve Read Enough. DONT TRY TO FALL ASLEEP WATCHING TV, AND STAY AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER AT NIGHT, IT STIMULATES YOUR MIND WAY TO MUCH. Another Thing You Can Try Is Sleeping With A Fan, Focus On The Noise It Create, And Eventually You Will Fade Away Into Your Sleep.</p>

I have been staying away from junk, not eating too much, exercising, cardio, drinking water! I read someplace that effexor cripples the metabolism, and is bad on the liver in the long run. How is depression going to be helped with the secondary complication of being fat, overnight? My doctor denies it&#8217;s the drug, but I know it is. <p>your body forms to a personal inside clock. however you feel like calling it. I use to think i had insomnia too. basically it&#8217;s all the stress from school. you have too much on ur mind. Best thing to do, take everything out of your room. no tv, no radio, no cell, NOTHING. (just keep ur alarm clock)&#8230; but when your mind realizes that you have nothing to do in your room but sleep, you will sleep. sometimes to get on a different schedule&#8230; stay up for like 2 full days, no naps, no sleep&#8230; and around like 10 or 11, force yourself to sleep. get up at a reasonable time like 8 or 9, and your body will be use to sleeping like that. i do it all the time. hence why im still up lol!</p>

<p>Don&#8217;t do any heavy reading before you go to sleep, do lots of brainless activities like watching TV, don&#8217;t get into details, or your brain wouldn&#8217;t allow you to sleep. Drink a glass of wine but no cigarretes or caffine, sugary foods, also try soaking your foot in the warm water, it works for me.</p>
